Crowns and Bridges

Fixed Bridge
This provides the sturdiest tooth replacement option. This can be compared to having three crowns. In this procedure, two adjacent teeth next to the missing tooth area are prepared for crowns and the false tooth is attached in between these two crowns to replace the missing tooth. It can be used for multiple spaces, provided the adjacent teeth are present with good gums and bone support and is free of decay.

The benefit of a bridge is that it provides stability and is fixed in the patient’s mouth. In most cases these bridges can be made to look as if the person never had a missing tooth or teeth!
